A nature getaway for everyone.
A Place for Everyone
At Chalets Lanaudière, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy nature and the great outdoors. That’s why we’re committed to making our accommodations, activities and facilities as accessible and inclusive as possible, so everyone can enjoy a comfortable and memorable stay.
With the support of our valued partners, we also provide adapted equipment at no extra cost to help make the most of your time in nature.
Accessible Welcome Centre
Our Welcome Centre is designed to make it easier for guests with reduced mobility to move around independently. It features a permanent access ramp, an automatic door opener, an accessible reception counter and tables with enough space for wheelchair users. The washroom is also accessible, with ample turning space, grab bars and a transfer area beside the toilet.
Tiny cottages with universal access
A universally accessible accommodation is designed to be comfortable and easy to use for everyone, regardless of age, size or ability.
Our universally accessible tiny cottages offer a comfortable, independent stay for guests with a variety of needs. They feature wider doorways, an accessible bathroom, an adapted kitchenette and grab bars to make getting around and using the space easier.
Universal access means thinking about different needs so that everyone can enjoy a comfortable stay in nature.
Specialized equipment
Because we believe everyone should be able to enjoy the outdoors and connect with nature, we offer adapted equipment at no extra cost during your stay.
If you or someone in your family has specific accessibility needs, these specialized equipment options can help make it easier to enjoy a day in nature and take part in the activities offered on site.
Accessibility around the property
We’ve made a number of improvements around the property to make it easier for everyone to get around and enjoy nature.
Our accessible docks make it easier to get down to the lake and launch a boat, with a launch ramp, step-free access and extra space to move around. This makes it possible to enjoy time on the water more independently. At Lac Lamoureux Beach, a beach mat is also available to make getting to the water easier.
The Sentier des Lucioles was also designed with accessibility in mind. The trail has a smooth, crushed-stone surface that makes it easier to get around. Along the way, you’ll find about ten interactive stations where you can learn about the positive effects of nature on your physical and mental well-being. An audio guide is also available for visitors with visual impairments, offering another way to experience the trail.
